A sophomore at Lake Forest High School, Kim was recently the overall winner of the Walgreens National Concerto Competition. She was also the First Prize winner of the Illinois State 2016 Junior Competition, and the 2015 Chicago Symphony Orchestra Youth Audition. She has performed on several occasions with the Chicago Symphony, most recently in April of 2016, and as solo pianist and chamber musician, she has performed in Barcelona, Spain, the Chicago Cultural Center, and the Ravinia Festival. Recently, Kim performed Rhapsody in Blue with the Kankakee Valley Symphony Orchestra and the Piano Concerto No. 3 by Prokofiev with Midwest Young Artists Symphony Orchestra. She will play the Concerto No. 2 by Saint-Saens and the Highland Park Strings will give it's first performance of the Symphony No. 9 (the "Great") by Schubert.

"What do I love about playing the piano? Playing music in general is life changing. It affects how we act, who we are, and the way we see the world. Without it, I wouldn't be who I am today." ~Kimberly Han
