Florence Price, (1887-1953)

Florence Price was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, attended the prestigious New England Conservatory or Music, and later moved to Chicago to compose and work as a musician. She won four composition prizes and Chicago Symphony played her first symphony in 1933.
